Description
To retrieve a Cook County Divorce, Law or Chancery Case/Lawsuit Record requires a 2-step process. These records are not stored at the courthouse, only the index is. If a case is found in the index, the records will be transferred from an off site storage facility for viewing on another day. This process can take a few weeks. I charge a $10.00 fee for the index look up. The scanning charges are based on my hourly fee of $25.00/hour. I can typically scan around 30-35 pages in an hour, dependent upon how old the case is. The older the case, the longer it might take due to the fragility of the papers. A typical case takes around an hour to scan.
