Description
To retrieve Cook County Probate and Wills Records requires a 2-step process. These records are not stored at the courthouse, only the index is. If a will or probate case is found in the index, the records will be transferred from an off site storage facility for viewing on another day. This process can take a few weeks.
If a probate is found, I will then return and color scan it for you. For this I charge my hourly fee as some files are large and have been folded tight for many years. On average, I can usually scan around 30-40 pages in an hour.
If no probate is found in the index, I only charge $10.00 for the index look up fee.
