Description
This is the State Library of the Kentucky Society, National Society of the Daughters of the American Revolution (NSDAR). It specializes in books and files dealing with the states of Kentucky and Virginia, surnames studies and NSDAR materials. The library also houses, to a lesser degree, records from early Mid-Atlantic states such as Pennsylvania and Maryland. There is a large selection of books specific to Kentucky counties, as well as vertical family files for many Kentucky surnames. The many early records of Bourbon County are helpful to researchers whose families settled in one of the 33 counties formed from Bourbon.
