I will look up obituaries in the Middletown Press microfilm copies held by Russell Library, Middletown once every two weeks. The Press printed obituaries from Middletown and the closest surrounding towns, such as Portland and Cromwell. Occasionally, it might also include a death notice for someone living in Chester or Deep River, CT.
To locate an obituary, I will need the individual’s death date, full name, and town of residence. Obituaries were usually printed within two days of their demise. Please be exact as I cannot search more than a week on either side.
