FAQ for this lookup

Hello Cathy, I have to keep uniform fees, otherwise some clients would complain. The advantage I offer is the turnaround. NARA can take 3 - 6 months. I aim for 2 weeks. I visit NARA on Mondays and can often fill a request that day. Best regards, LJ Irwin
It's definitely better to get two. The two documents were created at different times, sometimes decades. A CSMR record was made by the Army at the time of service. A pension application was made by the soldier whenever he thought he was eligible. Even when the information matches, the repetition serves as confirmation and strengthens the confidence you can place in the information. LJI
Yes, it should . . but there are plenty of exceptions with records 150 years old. The only way to know is to look them up. LJI
