Hi Melissa - I have several Tennessee death certs. I'm interested in purchasing. I only see indexes for certain years online. Can you still provide death certificates for years that don't have an online index?

Hello, Yes I can access and search all death record indexes for Tennessee from the years 1908 to the present day. If the deaths occured in Shelby County, Davidson County, Knox County or Hamilton County, they have earlier death indexes available back to the 1880's. Hello, you are correct, my fee is $5.00 per person search. Yes, I can obtain these within in the next 2 weeks. I am not positive but I think you will have to request each certificate separately through the Genlighten site. I will look up as many as you are needing for this price for the years 1908-1959 for all counties in Tennessee.

Hi, I noticed you do Kentucky research also. I'm also helping my dads cousin with his genealogy and we are trying to discover what his great grandmothers maiden name is. We think his g. grandparents married in Kentucky since census records show she was born in Kentucky and the first couple of children were born in Kentucky. First born 1843 Kentucky. Can you check for marriage records for Kentucky this early and birth records for Kentucky for 1820? His g. grandfather was born 1800 TN and I know there isn't a birth index that early for TN. Thanks so much!

Hello, first I can tell you that there are no birth records in Kentucky as far back as 1820. The State of Kentucky has surviving birth records from 1852-1910 which are not completed and then the State started requiring the counties to report births by law in 1911. As for the marriage record in Kentucky, I will need to know what county in Kentucky the couple possibly married as the there is not state wide index for marriages. If you decide to make the request, please provide me with the couples name, possible county of marriage, and possible date range of marriage. Thanks
