Stillbirth certificates issued in IL 1916-1947 were a combination of birth/death certificate, for an infant who was born, but the infant did not "take breath" after birth. (at that time, the qualifying factor for a "live" birth in Illinois). IF COMPLETE info is provided in Genlighten research request, I should be able to find the Stillbirth certificate. If incomplete info - and/or not indexed, the search fee covers up to 20 minutes research time.
Fee if I find the record you requested: $9.00
Fee if I don’t find the record after a thorough search: $7.75
MUST PROVIDE the year, month and county/city in which the stillbirth took place. Cook County/City of Chicago stillbirths are now indexed online (not completely), at the website link provided. [NOTE: PLEASE check online statewide IL death index at additional link below (cyberdriveillinois.com link), for SURNAME with & (ampersand) in the middle name field - because the death may have been just a death of a newborn infant. If NOT a stillbirth, the lookup would be less expensive for YOU!]
