I will search for early obituaries using Sam Fink's Index to Deaths Mentioned in Chicago Newspapers. If I find a matching entry, I will send you a copy of the index page so you can follow up to get the actual record. (If it's the Chicago Tribune, I will also include the newspaper clipping.) If I don't find a match, I'll send you a copy of the page where the name would have appeared in the index so you'll have it for your records.

Newspapers covered include the Chicago Tribune, Chicago Evening Journal, Chicago Democrat, Chicago Evening Post, Chicago Record-Herald, Chicago Daily News, Chicago Examiner, Inter-Ocean, and Democratic Press .

Please note that the index includes entries for short death notices as well as longer obituaries and you are more likely to find a brief entry than a long, detailed article.
