Reliable Central Virginia research and document retrieval; online research
I am joining the Genlighten community in the hopes that I can jump-start a career in assisting others with their genealogical research. I have B.S. and M.S. degrees in plant science, and the scientist in me is very attentive to detail. Rest assured, I will leave no stone unturned when it comes to research and/or retrieving any documents that are requested. I am currently working on the NGS American Genealogy Home Study Course, which will help me hone my skills beyond what I have already accomplished with my own family research. I have written an article for an Illinois county's genealogical society quarterly and have done volunteer record transcription and cemetery photo work.
Online research for the entire U.S., offline research and document retrieval from Appomattox, Campbell and Charlotte County VA Courthouses and/or historical societies; Ancestry.com and Family History Center access. Also open to locating and photographing grave sites in above counties if requested.
